Sara is a project controls professional with extensive cost management system implementation experience. She has worked on projects globally, helping to define project controls processes and procedures and implementing project cost management software.
She has worked as a project controls and cost engineering systems consultant in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia and has worked on major construction projects including the London Underground SSR Upgrade and Thames Tideway Tunnels. She has worked in industries such as construction, local government (Margaret River Shire Council), shipping, investment banking, mining, oil and gas, transport, water and waste management, hospitals and universities.
She moved back to Australia in 2015 and has built a home in Western Australia, from which she now works globally as a configuration consulting. She also volunteers at the local aged care facility in her community.
She places great importance on being able to ensure that governments implement well costed projects that are delivered on time and on budget. That projects negotiate fair contracts, have robust risk and change processes and do extensive assessments on the impact projects have on people and on the environment.
Sara has always been active politically, especially with issues relating to human rights. She is also a firm believer in people looking after their health as naturally as possible, and people having the freedom to choose as widely as possible in all areas of their life, especially the forms of healthcare they wish to use.
